Concert PRINS ZONDER CARNAVAL & de GILDE feat. DIZZY DOUX

Elected Prince Carnaval 2020 of Schaærbeek, McCloud 1st had all it took to lead the parade, but the carnaval was cancelled. "All dressed up and nowhere to go",  de PRINS decided to make an eclectic big band and play songs inspired by life in the city of Schaærbeek. 

The GILDE is a costumed autonomous party group, ready to set fire to any dull moment! Think Sun Ra Arkestra, New Orleans Dixieland or Belgian Fanfare, or even Musique Concrete played by pedal steel guitar, recorders, saxophones, bass, trumpet, trombone, cajon, a chorale & even a jaw harp ! 

The enigmatic producer from the Flemish hinterland, DIZZY DOUX: helps out when available: turns on the auto-tune, sings a bit and plays some chords. CLEM LE FOU (artist Clément Jacques-Vossen) brings the crowd together around a new game: OPPRINSSIJNOOR. 

Holding on to a giant canvas painting, we throw de PRINS into the air! 

Pluri-forme & pluridisciplinary the PRINS produces pluri-genre sound stories: from folk to soul, from jazz to doo wop, from thrash to opera, from electro to downright dirty, whatever it takes to get the party started!
